Executing a total demolition project is one of the most exciting and commonly watched facets of construction. Over the years though much has changed, gone (for the most part) are the days of wrecking balls and burying debris on site. Today’s successful demolition starts well before the machines arrive. DWC works with clients to identify these challenges, mitigate them and turn over a clean, safe and redevelop able site.
DWC has worked on asset recovery projects from pulp and paper plants, cement plants, glass and warehouse space for numerous owners and clients. Our open, honest team based approach to executing these projects leaves our clients assured of the best returns and results for the owner. Among the items we specialize in are wood structures, generators, ferrous and nonferrous recovery, specialty equipment and warehousing equipment. Our crews have salvaged thousands of tons of warehousing equipment and often return 10-20% greater value than scrap. In tight budgetary times these increases of value can often make a significant difference.
Duane Wrecking Corp., and the Duane’s have been performing numerous emergency projects both locally and even internationally for generations. John “Zip” Duane did the emergency work at the tragic Coconut Grove fire where hundreds perished. Herb Duane worked with the City of Boston’s Fire Department recovering nine firemen lost at the Hotel Vendome. Herb has also responded to natural disasters for the US Government as far away as Nicaragua and Guatemala.
